MBS Fitness now offers a new training program for shorter
races. The new 5K/10K Race Program is
designed for individuals training to complete their fastest shorter-
distance race, up to 8 miles. Runners and walkers complete a weekly
interval training program, as well as trail running to increase their
V02 max and overall speed. In the past, athletes and individuals
training for triathlons, 5K, 10K joined the
Marathon Training Programs.
The 5K/10K Race Program is a comprehensive program personalized for each
individual to complete his/her first shorter-distance race or improve on
his/her personal record (PR). At the beginning of each program, a VO2
analysis is done to identify your fitness level. Working with the
coach, realistic and achievable goals are set. A personalized
running schedule including target distances or times are provided.
Interval training is utilized through
Murphy's Track Club, which is included
as part of the 5K/10K Race Program. Developed and led by an Olympic
marathoner, you are sure to get the coaching of an expert.
