Beginning Fitness / Fitness Walking Program

The Beginning Fitness Program is ideal for the individual who is currently not involved with or just starting a physical fitness program or exercise routine. It is designed for adults that may be overweight or sedentary and are looking to live a healthier life. This program is a 21 week program. Participants meet as a group once a week for one and one half hours. The weekly meetings include strength and cardiovascular training with individualized coaching on form, bio-mechanics, exertion effort and other important training factors. Each meeting will also have informative lectures and educational material on various health and fitness topics.  Personalized programs are developed, which will guide participants activity and nutrition throughout the week. Individual progress is tracked throughout the fitness program and goals and programs are adjusted accordingly.

  • Weekly tracking and monitoring of performance

    • Programs accessible online and tracked online

  • Professional coaching and fitness training developed and delivered by experienced coach and athlete - Marie Murphy

  • Fitness tests, including VO2 max and body composition

  • Weekly clinics/lectures with guest speakers.  Topics include:

    • Nutrition

    • Injury Prevention

    • Strength training and conditioning

  • Group meets once a week for 1 1/2 hours

  • Group meets in and around West Los Angeles on Saturday mornings, serving Santa Monica, Los Angeles' Westside, the South Bay and the San Fernando Valley

  • Registration is now open for in-person coaching through June 6.

  • Cost of program:  $450
