MBS Fitness offers in-person marathon training programs,
twice a
year. Each program is geared for runners and walkers ranging from
those who have never completed a marathon to elite runners.
The spring marathon training program begins in
January for those planning to run marathons scheduled in
spring. In the past, participants in
the spring program have run Los Angeles, Vancouver, Big Sur and other
marathons. This year members of the team will run Big Sur, Vancouver and Rock 'n Roll San
Diego.
The fall marathon training program begins in summer for those
planning to run marathons scheduled in late-fall. In the past, the fall
marathon training program benefited the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. Marathoners joining the Susan Love
M.D., Marathon Training Program have in the past
trained for and run in the Dublin City Marathon in Ireland. For
2005, the fitness program benefiting the Foundation will begin in
September 10. The marathon training program will begin on July 10. The
target marathon this year will be between the ING New York City Marathon
and the Orange County Marathon.
Each marathon training program is a
comprehensive program personalized for each individual to complete
his/her first marathon or improve his/her personal record (PR).
